Templates are labeled beginner, immediate, or advanced based on difficulty level. We recommend choosing a beginner or intermediate template for your first workshop.



Learn to make Luminous Paper Art!

We aim to not only teach you how to make beautiful paper art, but to give you a relaxing and fun afternoon and a handmade paper art piece to take home. Workshops each have space for up to 20 people.

What’s included in the workshop:

  • Personalized hands-on lesson in creating your own 7-inch paper art piece

  • Art template of your choice (over 40 to choose from)

  • Wood floating frame (black, white, or natural)

  • Art supplies needed for creating your art

Venue:

Workshops are held at A Work of Heart art studio near downtown San Jose. Venue includes a large art studio, work tables, rest rooms, and access to private parking (in the rear).

Easy access from Highway 87 or 280, located on Race St. between Park Ave. and The Alameda, San Jose.

  • Glass of wine (21 and over only; ID required) - $7

    Bottle of wine (21 and over only; ID required) - $20

    Water bottle - $1

    Snacks (various options available) - various

    Art Supplies to purchase for home use:

    Paper Art template packet - $10

    Light box (illuminates your art while you work) - $125

    Artist’s Toolkit (supplies you need to make paper art) - $25

    Frame 8”x8” (White, Natural, Black) - $20

    Credit card, Venmo, PayPal, cash, and checks accepted for in-workshop purchases

  • Protocols remain fluid as the county and state provide guidance and mandates for businesses. As of March 1, 2022, Santa Clara County no longer requires masks be worn indoors in public places. You may opt or not to wear a mask in class.
