Bernadette created this piece, called “Unity,” to support the Black Lives Matter movement. This piece was auctioned online, the proceeds of which were donated to the ACLU in September 2020.

The multi-hued fist is a symbol of unity and the background in green, orange, blue, red and white is adapted from a traditional tribal African pattern.
